We met Laura and Ann by chance while exploring Waipiʻo Valley. As we were packing up to leave, we heard them call out for help—they had just finished an exhausting 8-mile hike with over 1,400 feet of elevation change, only to realize they had missed their ride back. Tired but still smiling, their energy carried a mix of relief and gratitude. What started as a moment of need quickly became a shared experience, and the images captured reflect both their resilience and the beauty of the trip.
